Data / Internet

Internet T1

An Internet T1 line is dedicated for access to the Internet at 1.54Mbps. An industry standard for businesses with a network, T1 lines offer a high-quality option for high-speed Internet access for small-to-large networks.

Bonded (NXT1) 3.0 to 12Mbps

A Bonded NXT1 is a combination of dedicated T1 lines encapsulated with MLPPP for access to the Internet at speeds from 3.0 Mpbs up to 12 Mpbs.

Fractional/Bustable DS3/T3

Speeds of 5 Mbps up to 45 Mbps dedicated over a 45 Mbps fiber loop.

DS3/T3

DS3 aka "T3" is a dedicated 45Mbps connection to the Internet over a DS3 45 Mbps fiber loop.

OC3

OC3 is a Dedicated OC3 loop (Fiber) with a port speed of 155 Mbps.

Ethernet Internet

(Fast E, GIG E, Gigaman) On-Net Fiber provides connections to the internet from 10Mbps up to 1 Gbps.

VPN

VPN allows companies to connect multiple networks to each other over T1 and other internet connection options.

MPLS

MPLS is the fastest growing telecom service in the country. It allows companies to replace their old existing Frame Relay with a more reliable faster service, and with NO CIR's. Companies can connect multiple locations and networks together all over the world with up to 10 layers of class of service for voice, video and data.

Point-to-Point / Private Line

Private line data service provides dedicated (non-switched) circuits between specific points. This service can run over T1, DS3 / T3 or ethernet. Private Line Services are the perfect solution for businesses with little margin for error when it comes to reliable service when connecting two or more locations.

Voice / VOIP

Local T-1

Local T-1 (A local T-1 line is dedicated for local calling and switched long distance)
A T-1 line has the capacity of 24 data or voice channels (24 simultaneous conversations)

A Local T-1 /ISDN PRI utilizes Direct Inward Dial Phone Numbers
One feature of local T-1 service is whereby each person in an organization has his or her own ten-digit telephone number known as direct inward dial (DID). Calls to DID telephone numbers do not have to be answered by on-site operators. They go directly to the person assigned to the ten-digit DID telephone number

The benefit to DID numbers is to give the customer the ability to save money on phone lines. A local T1 has digital trunks which allow a DID number to ride on the 1st available pathway. Thus, unlike analog lines you don't have to have a 1 to 1 ratio of numbers to lines.

VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)

VoIP is the process of sending voice traffic in packets on IP-based data networks. VoIP digitizes analog voice, compresses it, and puts it into packets at the sending end. The receiving end does the reverse. Unlike circuit switching, no path is saved for the duration of a voice session. To help with the quality of packet delivery, voice packets can be prioritized by adding class of service to your internet connection.

VoIP SIP Trunks: (Session initiation protocol)

SIP is a signaling protocol used to establish sessions over IP networks, such as those for telephone calls and audio conferencing. It is used by Internet and telephone companies to terminate calls to a customer with less cost and more functionality. It is also used to link IP telephones from different manufacturers to SIP-compatible IP telephones.

Integrated (Voice / Data)

Integrated Voice and Data T-1 line

Comprised of 24 (64Kbps) channels, T1 lines can be used for multiple applications. Commonly referred to as an integrated T1 or channelized T1, this highly flexible circuit is designed for businesses that need to run multiple services over the same line. Common applications for integrated service include local phone service/dedicated long distance, VOIP SIP trunks and Internet or MPLS.

Integrated T-1's are very flexible. They are meant to fit a wide range of customer needs. For example, a company that has 5 lines and needs dedicated bandwidth to the Internet can bundle in both over one T-1, or a company that has 12 PRI trunks and needs to connect multiple offices via MPLS could also use an Integrated T-1.

An Integrated T-1 is often cheaper then buying a full voice T-1 and a fraction Internet T-1 or DSL.

Integrated Voice and Data - Bonded T1's

Carriers have options for companies that need a lot of lines and or bandwidth.
